C3: IT in supply chain management

As a result of digitisation and globalisation, supply chain management undergoes constant changes and challenges. Due to the need to process and analyse increasing amounts of data, we employ sophisticated IT solutions and artificial intelligence. The main purpose of these efforts is to meet the growing requirements of customers – in distribution, it involves shorter and more flexible delivery terms, in production, processes must provide for individualised orders, and in purchase, it is important to contribute to the generation of added value of entities often located in distant places throughout the world. During the continuous exchange of data which accompanies the said processes security gains on significance.
