B2B LOCO Project Conference– admission free

The B2B LOCO conference will be devoted to European logistic projects providing good practices and solutions and contributing to enterprise development. The aim of the session will be to show that the involvement of business in research programmes is necessary, contributing to their development and thus carrying competitive advantage. The session will gather together coordinators of a number of European projects, well-known logistics specialists and practitioners, mainly from abroad, who will share the most interesting results achieved in European research programmes.

Moderator

Prof. Włodzimierz Rydzkowski – University of Gdansk, Poland (B2B LOCO Consultation Board)

Earned his MSc. in economics at the Sopot School of Economics then he completed his PhD at the University of Gdansk where he joined the Faculty of Economics. He also holds a higher scientific degree in economics (Dr habil.). He teaches transport economics, transportation policy, and logistics. He was the Fulbright Fellow at the University of Louisville in 1986-1987, and Kosciuszko Foundation Scholar and Visiting Professor at the University of Tennessee in 1991. He delivered guest lectures at 10 universities in the USA and the UK. He published 11 books and monographs and 60 papers in different journals. He is a member of the Editorial Review Board of the International Journal of Logistics Management. He also presides the Programme Committee of the Polish journal Logistics. He is a member of Programme Committees at the College of Logistics in Poznan and International College of Logistics and Transportation in Wroclaw. He currently is a member of  Consultation Board of the EU funded project B2B LOCO.

Managing director of Sequoyah NV, dealing with multiple facets of e-commerce, ranging from strategy development to business process re-engineering to enabling technologies to deployment and service management. He has been and is involved in several European Integrated Projects: Freightwise, Moses, Smart-CM and e-Freight. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Logit Systems AS, a software company specialized in supply chain execution and commercial ship management and a member of the Board of Directors of ICSO npo (non-profit organization), the International Cargo Security Organization.

Stane Božičnik, University of Maribor, Slovenia (B2B LOCO Partner)

A head of Transport economics centre at the University of Maribor, Faculty of Civil Engineering, lecturing at the Faculty of Civil Engineering (Business Logistics, Transport Economics and Transport Technologies). He has been involved in several EU and national research projects dealing with: traffic flows, intermodal transport, logistics centres, cross financing, external costs of transport etc.

Strategic policy officer in Poland’s local and regional administration. Research work on transport corridors and strategic development zones in the Baltic Sea Region, polycentric development, diffusion of innovation, and accessibility issues. Consultant in several projects commissioned by European Commission, World Bank and national, regional and local administrations across Europe.

A transport researcher in the ITS department at CDV. HE works for  CDV at least 4 years. He graduated on Faculty of sciences on University of Ostrava in 2005. He is a coordinator for a national project which is focused on effective traffic flow management on highways and speedways using ITS. In present days he is working on a project of standardization of information systems in Public Transport. The aim of the project is based on connecting of information systems into one platform and provide nationwide data from Public Transport in Czech Republic.

Aldo Croci - Hupac, Hungary
IT Director of the Hupac Group, one of the biggest European groups for Intermodal Traffic. He worked for 25 years in the ambit of informatics advice in the transport and logistics sector. He covered important responsibility project assignments as regards the software development in the sector of road, airplane and railway transport. He coordinated and developed the software GOAL, a specific software for the Intermodal Traffic, owned by Hupac and used by different operators of the Intermodal Traffic in Europe. He is a Chairman of the Board of the Company Cesar Information Services, created together with other operators of the Intermodal Traffic, to offer services to the customers of the Intermodal Traffic in Europe.

Graduate of the Poznan School of Logistics and University of  Economics in Poznan; shareholder of ECO – cars Ltd. since 2003; awarded as a Highest Quality Manager 2006 by the Wielkopolskie Quality Research Association and the Wielkopolska Business Magazine; granted a certificate for the Highest Quality in Environment Protection; for the last two years he has been a coordinator of the car recycling network in Poland.

Professor, Dr. hab. sc.ing. degree in Aviation; Present position: President of the Transport and Telecommunication Institute, president of Latvian Operations Research Society, President of Latvian Transport Development and Education Association, Vice-President of Latvian Transport Union. Member of Technical Committee on Transport and Urban Development of European Commission for Co-operation in the Fields of Scientific and Technical Research,  Member of Joint OECD/ECMT Transport Research Committee. The main area of professional interests: Transport Telematics and Logistics, Analysis and Modelling of Complex Systems, Operations Research, Information Technology Applications, Air Traffic Control Systems.

An economist working at the Transport Economics Centre at the University of Maribor. He is active in several European Projects in the field of transport economics and logistics. Transport SMEs and their business problems are currently one of his main subjects of interest.
