W 2 - How to efficiently manage stock levels in economic crisis?

The workshop will provide participants with information about practical activities streamlining the area of stock management and improving the competitiveness of enterprises. The pressure to cut costs is particularly felt in logistics, especially in stock management. Efficient stock management contributes to reducing storage costs and improving customer service level, as well as having a direct impact on the efficiency of the entire supply chain. However, huge product volumes, fast rotation and considerable unpredictability make stock management exceptionally difficult.   Consequently, it is of key importance to get to know methods and tools that make it possible to ensure continuous production and sale at the highest level, while minimizing costs involved in stock-keeping. Resolution of these problems helps to define warehouse stock levels which are a basis for warehouse space organization. An effective use of available warehouse space through proper stock management ensures cost reduction and, in many cases, makes it possible to eliminate costly warehouse expansion projects.
