Another group of Polish logisticians will be awarded competence certificates granted by the European Logistics Association. The European System for Certification of Logisticians has been operating in Poland since July 2000. It offers certificates of professional competence on three levels: Junior, Senior and Master. The level depends on the scope of competence, starting from operating competence (Junior Level) up to strategic competence (Master Level), and on the position of candidates in the employment hierarchy, starting from lower managerial ranks (Junior) up to the top management (Master). Until 2009, the specialized Certification Body which operates in the Institute of Logistics and Warehousing granted over 300 European Logistician certificates under the System. Altogether, nearly 5,000 certificates have been awarded in 20 countries.
