| Session B2 - Mobile technologies in logistics and commerce |
|
Several years ago no one suspected that the number of mobile phones could exceed the number of people. Innovative solutions and new hardware and software functionalities have given the mobile technology market an unprecedented boost. Mobile phones, which were originally developed for conversation purposes, have now turned into technologically advanced Smartphones. Notebooks have increasingly been replaced with mini notebooks i.e. netbooks. The mobile market competition also involves tablet PCs which are set to revolutionize the IT market in 2010.
The session will be devoted to an analysis of trends distinctive for this market and a review of solutions aimed at increasing the speed of information transfer and delivery regardless of the location/time of origin and destination, which makes it possible to reduce costs and improve performance. |
