| Session B1 - ECR: Value creation through cooperation on the FMCG market |
| The recent financial crisis and economic turmoil have affected a number of economy branches with varying strength. The recession has undoubtedly left its mark on the FMCG sector as well, providing an impulse to undertake bold optimization projects and consolidate strategic cooperation between business partners. The partnership-based approach to building lasting relations in supply chains and joint creation of value for buyers and consumers are not just empty slogans promoted by consultants or an innovative instrument in competitive rivalry. For the majority of companies, it is a foundation of their business - a basis which ensures long-lasting competitive advantage. The session will involve a presentation of projects implemented by ECR Polska and other European ECR organisations, focusing on basic elements of supply chain management, joint projects seeking to improve on-shelf availability of stock and advanced concepts for long-term business cooperation. |
