| Session A3 - Innovativeness in logistic services |
The aim of the session is to provide participants with information and inspiration concerning state-of-the-art solutions in global logistics. The panel discussion will revolve around innovativeness, efficiency and safety of logistic services, using examples of specific processes either already implemented or proposed by TSL market leaders including (in alphabetical order): DBSchenker, DHL Express, DSV group, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics Polska. Presidents of companies will discuss solutions which they introduced in response to the economic downturn in 2008 or which rely on the latest trends in supply chain management, such as "green logistics", "lean management", "cold chain" and "reverse logistics".

Awarded the title of “Osoba Przyjazna Logistyce” [lit. Logistics-Friendly Person] in 2009. Author and co-author of books, articles and expertises in the area of logistics, foreign trade and negotiations. Closely cooperates with individual businesses. Promotes diversity management as an effective management model. |

| President of the Management Board and Managing Director of DSV Road Sp. z o.o., the biggest company within the DSV Group in Poland, one of the leaders in the TSL industry in Poland. Graduated from SGPiS (currently, the Warsaw School of Economics), Transport Economics and Organisation, and also from the University of Gdańsk and the Warsaw School of Economics, postgraduate studies in the field of management. Until 2000, his career was connected with the PEKAES Group, which under his management, after reorganisation, became one of the top companies on the Polish TSL market. In 2000, he accepted the position of General Director of DFDS Transport Sp. z o.o. (currently, DSV Road Sp. z o.o.) and shepherded the company through the difficult period of the restructuring process. Among many duties, he was responsible for the merger processes with Polish branches of such international transport companies as DSV-Samson, Frans Maas and ABX Logistics. |

| Head of the Schenker&Co representative office in Warsaw, then President of the Management Board of Schenker Polska (1992-1999), member of the Management Board of Schenker-BTL (1999-2001) and member of the Management Board of Danzas (2001-2002) and Servisco Sp. z o.o. (2002-2003). In DHL Express, he was responsible for international products (2003-2007). From 2007, Managing Director of DHL Fracht in Poland and Ukraine. Under his management in 2009, both DHL Fracht in Poland and DHL Fracht in Ukraine increased their turnovers, as compared to 2008, and simultaneously their profitability improved despite the decrease in GDP in Ukraine and the slowdown in growth in Poland. Co-author of 2 editions of a book entitled “Spedycja w praktyce” [lit. Shipping in Practice]; Author of a book entitled “Spedycja w praktyce – wiek XXI” [lit. Shipping in Practice – XXI Century” (2009). From 1994, columnist of the “Polska Gazeta Transportowa”. Interested in history, aviation and photography. |

Grzegorz Lichocik - DACHSER Sp. z o.o.

| President of the Management Board of Dachser Sp. z o.o., a Polish division of Dachser GmbH & Co. KG being one of the largest logistics operators in Europe. Connected with the logistics industry for 15 years. Held many positions, including logistics director and regional director in Schenker. Between 1999 and 2002, he was a member of the Management Board of the Polish Logistics Association. Grzegorz Lichocik is also the author of many publications regarding management, and in particular logistics management. In Dachser, Grzegorz Lichocik is primarily responsible for the implementation of a cross-docking network in Poland. |
