| Session A2 - Applications of the Internet in logistics and commerce |
| The Internet has been growing in importance as a tool supporting efficient management, also in the areas of logistics and commerce. At present, almost 99% of companies have access to the global Internet network. Web access opens up great possibilities for Internet service providers and, above all, users of various services and tools. By expanding their business on the Internet, companies seek ways to cut costs and boost efficiency. Faster transport, lower labour costs, easier purchasing and education – these are only some of the changes in logistics taking place due to possibilities offered by the ever-expanding Internet. The session will involve a presentation of cutting-edge solutions streamlining the processes of planning, execution and monitoring of the flow of raw materials, intermediate and finished products, as well as trends in the development of e-commerce. |
