| Sesja A1 - GS1 standards in logistics and supply chains |
The session comprises a presentation of the most interesting solutions recently implemented by GS1 members (over a million companies worldwide in total). Speakers will also attempt to find answers to questions concerning future development of the GS1 standards. Are benefits obtained from scanning worth taking risks? What is the anticipated status of GS1, its barcodes and other standards in the concept of integrated logistics and coordinated deliveries to consumers’ homes? A totally new challenge is associated with the entry of companies into the B2C sector and the necessity to develop tools and solutions improving the efficiency of dialogue with consumers. For example, solutions related to the Extended Packaging concept show how to provide consumers with access to additional information about products and services via their mobile phones.
