Dear Sirs/Madams,

On 16-18 May 2012 next Polish Logistics Congress LOGISTICS 2012 will be held in Poznan. It will be already the eleventh edition of the congress, which has been organised on a two - year cycle since the beginning of 1990s. The number of participants has consistently increased and more than 780 people, including a large group of guests from abroad, took part in the latest Congress, organised jointly with the Logistics Congress of European Logistic Association (ELA) – LOGISTICS & EUROLOG 2010.

This year's Congress will be entitled: "Sustainable Logistics – People, Environment, Economy”. The prepared presentations are showing both challenges faced by logistics and solutions to these problems, which result from the demand for the sustainable economic development. Sustainable logistics is not only the way of fulfilling the expectations and requirements set, for example, by the regulations of the European Union. First of all, these are the initiatives and activities resulting from the widespread understanding of the need to take into account, while defining its own business objectives, the necessity to manage natural resources in a rational way as well as the necessity to notice the needs and social conditions as key priorities.

Considering social and environmental conditions should mean not only limiting the negative effects of logistic activity but also should result in finding solutions which improve the comfort of work.
The subject matter of prepared presentations covers the organisational and technical solutions implemented in various functional areas of logistics and in the whole supply chains. Controlling issues, which are growing in importance nowadays, have been also included.

The agenda traditionally includes: two days of debates in plenary and thematic sessions accompanied by the logistic exhibition and case study workshops.

Traditionally also, on Thursday 17 May, once the sessions are finished, it will be possible to join one of several technical visits to leading modern logistics and production companies in Poznan.
